As in the rest of the world, Christmas is becoming big business in Africa. Shops start decorating their windows early, enticing you to come and spend money you may not necessarily have. A piece of advice for those with daughters--please, please, don't buy them white dolls. Look for a black doll because every time you give your black daughter a white doll, you may not realise it, but you are mentally damaging her.
