Nottingham Trent University (NTU) implemented an enterprise content management system in its bid to amalgamate disparate school and department Web sites into one streamlined site. The university evaluated Rhythmyx, as well as one other provider's solution. Key criteria for the chosen content management solution included template-based data entry functionality, workflow to enable the university to decide that its requirements could be met by Rhythmyx. NTU now has an automated approval process for adding content. With 150 people across the organization submitting content, the need for automation was vital. All content is now posted through an agreed set of approval processes. The workflow solution ensures that information is delivered to the site in a streamlined and timely manner. The Web site now has a cohesive look and feel which is in line with the university's new image. From a bottomline perspective, the rationalization of 150 individual sites into a centralized core infrastructure, has delivered a variety of cost savings.
