Barlow Rand Ltd. remains one of the most profitable companies in South Africa despite its decision to unbundle in 1993. Share holdings were divested into four subsidiaries, namely, CG Smith, Reunert, Rand Mines and Rand Mines Properties which resulted in a 52% rise in share prices for 1995.
