Summary
I didn't want to go too far away from Rafi saab's soul. I didn't want to tamper with it. I could have done a lot of variations in terms of tune and melody, as I do in my own songs, but I didn't because I wanted to maintain the sanctity of his voice and songs. I followed him like a student follows a teacher. I didn't try to surpass my teacher - I didn't tr y anything my teacher didn't do. So this is my heartfelt tribute to Rafi saab. That was the challenge - sometimes when you are doing something as an artist, you want to do changes and bring in your own effects. But my soul said I should not tamper with what Rafi saab has done.
Of course, but I'm concerned about the tour because I've never done anything like this. I don't know how I will be able to hold myself back from joking with the audience or dancing. I'm sure the audiences will appreciate what we are doing. But it is a tough job because these are some of Rafi saab's songs which I have to sing one by one. (Laughs) I hope I don't get the hayfever that I always seem to get when I come to the UK.There are nine scripts lying around my house and I haven't read one of them. The thing is, you can't do everything at one time. I'm doing so many things right now that my hands are full. But even after the debacle of my last few films, people are so sure I can act that they want me in their films. I'm not sure if I'm ready. Maybe in the next few months that will change because I'm in shape and building up my body - that is my gift to myself.See the full content of this document
