Summary

This is the inaugural year of the E-Learning Awards which have been organized by the eLearning Network. For too long, the e-learning industry in the UK and Europe has worked away without any means of announcing to the world that the work that it does is changing lives and fortunes everyday. The process of judging the Awards has been carefully designed to be rigorous but also transparent to all. Each paper-based submission was carefully read and discussed by a panel drawn from members of the eLearning Network. The first three of the awards listed have one criterion in common and that is that tangible evidence of the experience of learners must be supplied as part of the submission. As well as the above, the judges will be looking for how close the award comes to fulfilling the award criteria.
