iT IS WIDELY ACCEPTED THAT THE PROFOUND ECONOMIC CRISIS IN THE United States and across the globe is likely to absorb much of the energy and attention of President Barack Obama in his first year. This is not least because engineering effective solutions will not lie entirely or, perhaps, even principally, in his hands.
