'So many of us don' t get the recognition that we deserve,' [Angie Stone] told a cheering crowd, 'so I want to go on record to say that I serenaded [Dionne Warwick].'

Though he did sing only a handful of his own hits the crowd showed their appreciation when he invited local soca stars onstage and rapped over hits by Buju Banton and Bob Marley. He closed out t h e show with a 25-minute performance of Machel Montano's It's Carnival, during which he leapfrogged over the Prime Minister, climbed a tree and waded through the crowd on his bodyguard's shoulders.

'There's a rumour on the news that [Wyclef Jean] is on steroids, he told the crowd. 'Wyclef don't do steroids but he only drinks coconut juice from the Caribbean', he added.
