Africa opens new gateway to global capital: continent's first international commodity and currency market goes live in Mauritius.

It has been a long time coming but it is here at last. Africa now has its own international commodity and currency derivatives exchange. The implications are colossal. Africa can now begin the process of severing the umbilical cord that ties its commodity prices and trade to foreign exchanges.
