As well as political stability, Morocco boasts a business-friendly legal system, attractive incentives for FDI, advanced infrastructure and a competent, highly qualified workforce. The country is also the beneficiary of many bilateral and multilateral agreements, including free trade agreements with Arab and West African nations as well as with the EU, the US, Turkey and, through the Agadir Agreement, with Jordan, Egypt and Tunisia. It is little wonder that more than 2,500 foreign companies have chosen to locate their businesses in Morocco, one of the reasons for the country's impressive GDP growth which in 2009, despite a severe global economic downturn, is forecast to post an increase of 5.7%.
