Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific

The European private sector favors the the idea of adding new members to the Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific (ACP) group and wants a greater role in the ACP-EU Centre for the Development of Industry. Among those being considered include Bangladesh, Yemen, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Nepal and the Maldives, all of which are less developed countries. EU states suggest that these countries should benefit from future post-Lome agreement.
