European Investment Bank

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is planning to infuse a total loan package of ECU 200 million in several African nations. At present, the EIB is concentrating on a wide variety of projects for South Africa but similar undertakings in Zamia, Zimbabwe and other nations have already been approved. Energy plant, airport and oil pipeline projects in Mauritius, Kenya and Madagascar are also under consideration.
