Up and down this massive land, which is as large as the whole of western Europe, Congolese are praying polling will mark the end of a long transition and usher in a new dawn for the country and the Great Lakes region of Central Africa. Kodi talks about the goals of the multi-party elections in the Democratic Republic of Congo as well as the how the Congolese are reacting to the democratic form of government. Among other things, he notes that multi-party elections offer a chance to establish a lasting peace, to revive the economies of all the countries concerned and the end of suffering and that pressure is needed on all the possible spoilers so this chance will not to be missed and the dream of a new dawn in the hear of Africa may come true.
