Colour matters in care: ethnicity, health and child placement: report of BAAF Health Group annual meeting, 5 October 2009.
I always enjoy attending BAAF conferences and once again was rewarded with a challenging and interesting day. Around 80 delegates gathered together, from all over the UK, and the theme was highly topical and relevant to everyone. Colour does matter in care and understanding cultural and ethnic background and its impact on the broadest aspects of health, identity and placement is essential, especially where I work in inner London.
