THE man accused in the murder of British national Scarlett Eden Keeling, Samson D'Souza, got a reprieve as India's Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday (7) withdrew its plea challenging a court decision to grant him bail.

The investigation into Scarlett's death received a setback when the Goa Children's Court in its bail judgement said there were insufficient grounds linking Samson to the crime.
