Research claims that employee development need is overlooked by 69% of UK businesses. Legal requirement and organizational performance are being put before development needs as training priorities with only one in three businesses taking an employee-first approach. The Learn to Work report shows that nearly all HR directors acknowledge the importance of training; however, it is a challenge for the majority to take a proactive and consistent approach because of varying priorities and the need to juggle compliance training and personal development with a limited per head budget.
