Breakthrough at last!(Zimbabwe)
At the time of going to press, the people of Zimbabwe were waiting with bated breath for the contents of the historic deal signed by all three main parties in the country that had taken seven frustrating weeks to negotiate. On 11 September, a breakthrough was found at last! Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai who had earlier refused to sign the deal brokered by the SADC facilitator, President Thabo Mbeki of South Africa, finally decided to sign after three further days of talks.
